After unsuccessfully making cardboard-hard ginger cookie man for Bri’s Thanksgiving party at school – my excuse? didn’t really feel like it so I baked them half-heartedly – managed to push myself to bake this pie. The pie crust can be tricky, depends on the recipe you have. Mine was not too crumbly, a bit on the hard side even. But the fillings worked great. Pecans fillings. Hubby loves pecans
I’m such a sucker for anything chocolate. Especially when they are melted inside a gooey moist chocolate cake topped with creamy buttery dark chocolate icing. The down side about chocolate cravings, it will never stop after one bake.
We both are so hooked on sticky date pudding ever since Mike took me to Kohi Cafe in Auckland. We would never miss to order one every time we went to any cafes that listed sticky date pudding on their dessert menu.
I hesitantly put a scoop of the dark gooey piece into my mouth. Looks can be pretty deceiving. My mind goes blank… WOW!!! They pretty moist with a strong hint of pineapple and caramelized brown sugar
Once the baking starts, there’s nothing stopping it. What was I thinking? giving up baking for soooo long, relying on mediocre food from restaurant delivery and fast food…..

Something I baked for fun, because my baby, Bri, who has just learned to chew on her finger food, loves breadsticks. Instead of having her teething toys or dummy, she prefers to gum on this breadsticks.
Instead of using plain cut up bananas, I caramelize them first in a pan with a bit of butter. Their flavour come out perfectly .With dollops of chocolate melts here and there this baby will have great combination of slightly crunchy toppings with delicate coconut flavors, sweet gooey caramelized banana dotted with melted chocolate Whoooo!!! I’m in heaven….
A sweet craving that ends with a sweet ending. I promised Mike to bake something decadent. It was a week ago and he’d probably been wondering what happened to the promise.
I’ve made this cookie twice. Always been a favorite for morning coffee. I love how the caramel flavored cookie and butterscotch chip melts in the mouth after a sip of strong coffee. I’m thinking of making another jar of cookies again for next week….
