Kitchen Action: Oregano & Smoked Fish Patties

Helen Helen2

I’ve been quite enjoying my stay with the in-laws for the past few months. Time sure does fly. I’ve been here for almost 4 months now.  That’s the kitchen we’ve been sharing together – ehm, actually I’ve been taking over most of the space in her kitchen. Like the time when my family came over to visit and I had to prepare a complete set of  Indonesian Yellow Rice for 10 people.  She was practically banned from her own kitchen. Poor Helen!  It is a pretty tiny kitchen for two foodies who are passionately trying to create a “wow” dish everyday.  But we did have some great fun there!  To me,  kitchen is the heart of a home, there’s always lots of  laughters and passions in there

Now here’s Helen, my mother in law, who shares the same feeling with me about self-portrait. We’re not too crazy about having our photos take.  She wasn’t very happy with her smoked fish patties for dinner,  but let me tell you, their look and taste are awesome!

Hello Dhi,
Congratulations on the baby. I agree the heart of a home is in the kitchen and you have to tell your mom-in-law, this fish cakes sounds and I bet tastes awesome. I might add some red chili powder to mine but that’s about it.
