It’s been an unusually exhausting past month for me carrying this bundle of joy that I’m starting to feel restricted in many ways. Three more weeks to go, hang in there! In the mean time, I’m still trying to do things that I enjoy the most; blogging and taking photos – which is getting more impossible in between those morning tiredness, afternoon snoozes, evening walks and sleepless nights with the worst case of heartburn. *yuck…. believe me, NOTHING is comfortable anymore*
“Three more weeks……” I kept repeating to myself as
I (im)patiently rubbed those persistent painful kicks in the tummy.
However, this afternoon I felt a surge of energy that I didn’t usually have. It was such a soothing feeling with lovely breeze through my bedroom window, clouds hung low in the sky close to the point of raining but not quite. I felt like taking my camera out to shoot some pictures. Sounds like a great idea! and it did. Then I remembered there’s a photo assignment I need to complete within this week from the photo community that I’m active in. Still Life Food Photography Club.

The theme of this month is “Herbs & Spices”. I know…. I know, lavender is not commonly classified as “herbs and spices” yet, but it does gains its popularity amongst the bakers.I’m sure you’ve heard of lavender cookies, lavender cupcakes or even lavender ice cream, right? (thanks Ema) . So here goes, the two type of herbs – lavender and rosemary…..
Photography is such a passion of mine that I’m willing to experiment with hundreds and hundreds of photo that sometimes takes hours or days of trials and errors. The group has been such a great learning pool for me as we learn from one another, sharing tips and tricks of creating the best photos with what you got. If you’re interested to have a look what we do in SLF or probably considering to join us, have a look HERE
After a few test shots on lighting, I carried on shooting away stalks of lavender and rosemary from the garden. They’re simply beautiful in photos. I use a worn off wooden bench as the background which I quite like.
